NICK MIRISIS

Nicholas Mirisis is a seasoned international software executive with a passion for driving innovation and growth in the technology and education sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at HomeTown Ticketing, an EdTech Software as a Service (SaaS) company, Mirisis is dedicated to maximizing revenue for educational institutions through comprehensive management platforms. 

 

Simultaneously, he holds the position of Operating Partner at Fulcrum Venture Group since 2023, where he focuses on investing in critical dual-use technologies, identifying and nurturing technologies that not only have direct applications in national defense but also contribute to the broader aerospace and defense ecosystem. As an Operating Partner, he plays a critical role in driving value creation through strategic operational enhancements within portfolio companies which includes acquisitions and overseeing daily operations to conducting due diligence and addressing hiring needs.

With over two decades of experience in growth-oriented executive roles, Mirisis has a proven track record in spearheading acquisition, revenue generation, M&A, and retention strategies. His previous leadership positions include Chief Revenue Officer and President/GM of eCommerce at SamCart, where he drove substantial growth from $11 million to $30 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). Prior to SamCart, he played pivotal roles as the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer at GoCanvas, a private equity-backed SaaS provider, where he contributed to doubling the ARR from $19 million to $46million. Mirisis’ extensive career also includes significant contributions at Dude Solutions (formerly SchoolDude), where he spent 13 years in marketing, strategy, and Go-to-Market (GTM) leadership roles. During his tenure, the company grew from a modest start of 30 employees and $1million ARR to over 750 employees and $100 million in revenues post-Series-B capitalization.

 

Throughout his career, he has worked across the investment landscape with stakeholders from boot-strapped startups, to minority investment and wholly owned PE-backed SaaS companies, growth equity and venture capital.

 

Mirisis is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, holding a Master's degree, and North Carolina State University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He is also recognized for his contributions to the tech and education sectors through his board memberships at the Consortium for School Networking and the National Business Officers Association. 

 

Mirisis is renowned for his customer-centric approach and his ability to navigate evolving market dynamics. His leadership has been instrumental in translating vision into actionable plans, driving organizational success, and building high-performing teams.
