A comprehensive look at two decades of transformational leadership

With over two decades of experience in growth-oriented executive roles, Mirisis has a proven track record in spearheading acquisition, revenue generation, M&A, and retention strategies. As the Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at Hometown, Nick led a remarkable turnaround, transforming the EdTech SaaS company from negative growth and high burn to an eight-figure profitable, platform SaaS company. He helped rebuild the GTM engine, protected Hometown’s market leadership by renegotiating long-term partnerships with key athletic state governing bodies (UIL, OHSAA, NJSIAA), and further expanded the addressable market by acquiring Schoolfundr, opening a multi-billion-dollar revenue opportunity.

Prior to Hometown, Nick served as Chief Revenue Officer & President/GM of eCommerce at SamCart, where he achieved 98% ARR attainment in his first six months and accelerated the growth engine to achieve 82% YoY ARR growth in FY'21, contributing to an early Series-B round of $82M. He managed a P&L exceeding $32M, leading Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Product, and Engineering departments. He successfully launched a new University subscription product that grew from zero to 58,000 subscribers in its first year, contributing $3M of accretive ARR, and created the GTM strategy for SamPay, increasing processing revenue by 65% in 12 months.

As Chief Revenue Officer at GoCanvas, Nick was instrumental in leading the company to its acquisition by Nemetschek for a multiple of approximately 11.5x 2023 ARR. He managed a P&L exceeding $26M and increased TopCo ARR by approximately 2x through organic growth and two strategic acquisitions.

Earlier in his career, as Vice President, Marketing at Dude Solutions Inc., Nick led the marketing organization's vision and strategy and helped the company grow from a modest start as a bootstrapped vertical SaaS of 30 employees and $1 million ARR to over 750 employees and $105 million in revenues post-Series-B capitalization, culminating in its acquisition by Siemens for $1.57B.

Throughout his career, he has worked across the investment landscape with stakeholders from boot-strapped startups, to minority investment and wholly owned PE-backed SaaS companies, growth equity and venture capital.

Nick is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, holding a Master's degree, and North Carolina State University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He is also recognized for his contributions to the tech and education sectors through his board memberships at the Consortium for School Networking and the National Business Officers Association.
